Conclusion

After the comprehensive and thorough research, the following are the conclusions being formulated.
The “Kaupas” plantation in barangay Sumilihon started in the year 1980 with the initiative of the Cabatingan Family to learn techniques and methods for the cultured mushroom production. Only the limited land area owned by the Cabatingan’s and other mushroom plantation owners are utilized for the mushroom planting.
The piled banana beds will lose its mushroom production after 3 harvest periods. Thus, plenty of beds are left unutilized in the area.
The mushroom plantation has raised income for the barangay for the past years. However, the money capital for the mushroom seedling planting remained constant in cost.
Not all families in the community and nearby barangays have enough knowledge in preparing different mushroom dishes.
The distributions of mushroom products have reached parts in Mindanao, Visayas, and even in Metro Manila.
The utilization of organic materials like dried banana leaves, sterilized dried banana trunk, kakawate leaves are the main raw materials used in the mushroom planting.
